Philip Cannell
I am a bilingual British civil engineer with 40 years of work experience in international commercial and technical activity. I have lived and worked in the Paris and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regions since 1987. I currently co-manage TradDirect, while continuing to translate into English and proofread large volumes of technical, commercial and legal documentation for companies, standards authorities, research organisations and international institutions.

Claudia Bingel-Cannell
Following a modern language Master's degree at the Sorbonne, I studied for a further 2 years at Paris' renowed Ecole des Traducteurs et d'Interprètes (ESIT). I then started my career as a French/English-to-German technical translator in two Parisian translation practices (Eclair Courrier and Kern AG). I decided to set up my own freelance translation practice in 1989.
I currently co-manage TradDirect with my husband Philip Cannell, a British civil engineer and translator-interpreter since 1993.
Our client base includes engineering practices, manufacturers, research centers, various international institutions, service providers and multiple translation agencies.
